St. Paul, Minn. — After hearing Stephen Stills' "Tree Top Flyer" on the radio, Ray LaMontagne made up his mind on the spot to become a singer and musician.

By the summer of 1999 he had a ten-song demo tape and a publishing deal with Chrysalis Music Publishing. After teaming with producer Ethan Johns, Ray LaMontagne released his debut album "Trouble" (which featured Jennifer Stills, the daughter of Stephen Stills) in the fall of 2004 on RCA Records. His follow-up album "Till The Sun Turns Black" was released in 2006.

He stopped by The Current studios and performed a few songs from his latest project entitled "Gossip In The Grain."

Songs: "Hey Me, Hey Mama", "A Falling Through" and "You Are The Best Thing".
