British ad awards return to the Twin Cities
St. Paul, Minn. — One of the stranger Twin Cities holiday traditions gets underway this weekend. It's the arrival of the British Television Advertising Awards Show at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis. There are drumming gorillas, hapless surfers and animated talking dogs looking for a good home.
Peter Bigg is Chief Executive of the British Television Awards and he'll introduce Friday's screenings. He told Minnesota Public Radio's Euan Kerr that the awards contain some things people might not think of as TV ads, at least not at first.
Peter Bigg will introduce the British Television Advertisng Award at the Walker tomorrow night. The Walker has 66 screenings scheduled and has already sold almost 9,500 tickets for the event.
